I am really interested in learning more about web pages. I would like to be able to do something neat with my school, but I really don't know much about it. I think I would like to do my project with something to do with a web design. It could really make a difference in the communication we have with parents and the community.
Tonight when we were using weebly, I really got excited about the possibilities.
On another note....I am starting to get inspired to make technology more meaningful to how I really work and live. Looking around and learning, I realize there are amazing tools and sites that can have a real application to teaching in the classroom, communicating ideas and inspiring children to apply their learning in creative original ways.

Web design would be a great project for you. I remember Don's comments about your school district's design--and he liked the basic set up. Are you thinking you want to re-create your district's site using the tools we've learned of in class, or something else? I could see you doing some deeper exploration of what other school districts have done. A kind of comparative study of K-12 sites that could inform what you'd want in your own district's sit. I know there are web design contests and I'm sure districts have some entries into those contests. What do you think?
